MONTHLY EVENTS:
MONTHLY MEETINGS:
September thru May, on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
at the Nazarene Church located at 2770 Borchard Road in Newbury Park.
To get there take either the 101 Freeway south to the Borchard Rd/Rancho
Conejo Blvd. off ramp or the 101 Freeway north to the Borchard Rd
off ramp. Coming south turn left onto Borchard Road at the
end of the off ramp (the off ramp goes under the overpass and comes around
to meet Borchard Road from the south). Coming north turn right
at the end of the off ramp and go over the overpass onto Borchard Road
(this off ramp also goes under the overpass and comes around to meet Borchard
Road from the north). From either direction proceed south on Borchard
Road past the first intersection (Michael Dr.), past the Newbury Park Library
Plaza at the intersection, past the Catholic Church on your right
to the Nazarene Church (which is on your left a distance of about
0.4 mile from Michael Drive). The driveway to the church is just
past a lighted apartment complex (Costa Bella) which is also on the
left side of the street. Look for the VCAS signs as well as
the church sign at the driveway. There is a lighted blue church sign
visible beyond the driveway. There is plenty of lighted parking at
the church. The meeting room is up the stairs at the southeast corner
of the parking lot. Monthly meetings usually involve a short bussiness
section, followed by a speaker on an archaeologically related topic of
interest, and ending with refreshments and socializing.
