Course Policies:
Attendance Policy: You are expected to attend class regularly.
No absences of any nature will be construed as relieving you from the
responsibility for the completion of all work assigned by the instructor.
Absences are discouraged because interaction with the instructor and fellow
classmates is an integral part of learning computer software applications.
Unexcused absences from Quizzes and Test will result in a score of "0" for that
test. If you need to leave class early, please let the instructor know
before the class begins.
Student Responsibility: If an emergency prevents you from
attending class, it is your responsibility to obtain notes from a classmate and
study them for understanding. If the notes and the text do not provide
sufficient explanation, please see the instructor after class. It is not
the responsibility of the instructor to see that you get lecture notes from
missed classes.
Procedures:
- Read the textbook chapters and assignments before class, so that you can
use your class/lab time more efficiently. Highlight important points as you
work through your textbook during the lecture and lab time. Be prepared to
discuss the chapter and any end-of chapter questions or Lab Assignments during
the lecture time.
- Turn in the competed assignments on time, with your name, class name and
section number. Make sure to keep you assignments in order as they will
be returned. It is not the responsibility of your instructor to put your
work in order.
- Please try and exchange phone numbers with other classmates so that if
your miss a class, or need someone to discuss what you are working on, you can
get the lecture notes from that person and discuss what you are working on.
If you find there something that both of you are having problems with, the
time to discuss this with the instructor is before the next days lecture.
Very Important
- Read over the corresponding lesson material prior to each meeting.
- Work through the assigned lesson material in the lab following each
corresponding class meeting. Do not wait until the day before an assignment is
due to start working on it.
- Clearly mark all assignments, Please include your name, class name and
section number, and assignments name/number on each assignment printout that
you turn in.
- At the end of the last meeting you must turn in any and all late
assignments, there will be points taken off for these assignments, as
described previous. Any assignments not turned in by that date
will not count towards your final class grade.
- You will need to send the instructor your e-mail address. This will be the
way the instructor will keep in contact with you.
- This e-mail address will be used to the link to the reports for your
grades and notification of when each report has been generated.
- Please be sure to send your e-mail address, to the instructor, before the
second class session.
