- We will treat the above as a goal; some minor deviations may be necessary.
- If you miss class, keep up with the reading. Attendance is important in class.
- A blank diskette will be provided in class for saving documents and other files.
- Assignment will be posted on the website by the end of the sessions indicated.

Class Objectives:
At completion of course student will:
- Have been exposed to various World Wide Web resources
- Know how to use Internet Explorer to access the World Wide Web
- Be acquainted with the more popular search engines
- Know how to do research on the World Wide Web using successful searching techniques
- Know how to communicate with other Internet users
- Be encouraged to maintain curiosity and independent exploration of World Wide Web resources
Class rules:
- Students will arrive on time and be ready for class before attendance is called
- All assignments are due at the beginning of the class unless stated otherwise on the syllabus
- For daily attendance points student must be present and participate for the total scheduled class time
- Students will not use computers until instructor has finished talking
- Students will not use computers to play games of any kind

Grading:
The grade for this course will be determined by the completion of three assignments, one project, and attendance. Points are distributed as follows:
- E-mail Assignment (Assignment 1) 20 points
- Web Saving Assignment (Assignment 2) 20 points
- Web Searching & Credibility Assignment (Assignment 3) 20 points
- URL Project 20 points
- Attendance and Participation 20 points
Total points possible = 100 points
Note that a 10 point penalty will be levied for any late assignments.
