Class Objectives:

    At completion of course student will:
  1. Have been exposed to various World Wide Web resources
  2. Know how to use Internet Explorer to access the World Wide Web
  3. Be acquainted with the more popular search engines
  4. Know how to do research on the World Wide Web using successful searching techniques
  5. Know how to communicate with other Internet users
  6. Be encouraged to maintain curiosity and independent exploration of World Wide Web resources

Grading:

The grade for this course will be determined by the completion of three assignments, one project, and attendance. Points are distributed as follows:

  1. E-mail Assignment (Assignment 1)  20 points
  2. Web Saving Assignment (Assignment 2)  20 points
  3. Web Searching & Credibility Assignment (Assignment 3)  20 points
  4. URL Project   20 points
  5. Attendance and Participation  20 points
Total points possible  = 100 points

Note that a 10 point penalty will be levied for any late assignments.

Scale: 90-100  = A
80-89= B
70-79= C
60-69= D
Below 60 = F
