Moorpark College Darkroom

The Moorpark College Black and White Darkroom contains 15 Saunders LPL, variable contrast, 4x5 enlargers, each equipped with a 4-bladed adjustable easel, a digital timer and Nikkor lenses. The B+W facilities include archival print washers, an RC print dryer, and racks for drying fiber paper.

The Color Darkroom consists of 3 Saunders LPL, dichroic, 4x5 enlargers, each equipped with a 4-bladed adjustable easel, a digital timer and Nikkor lenses. The Color facilities include a Fujimoto CP-31 table top RA-4 color print processor capable of processing prints up to 11x14 inches.

The film sink consists of chemistry for processing any B+W film of any format. Students can use our standard developer, D-76, or choose from any number of specialty developers such as HC-110, Rodinal or T-Max developer. The film sink also has a Jobo rotary film processor, capable of processing 5 rolls of 35mm, 6 rolls of 120, or 12 sheets of 4x5 film at a time.

In the print finishing area, we have Rototrim paper cutters, Seal Dry mount presses and a C+H bevel mat cutter.
