Orientation to the Fit Lab class occurs in the Fitness Center (Gym 227) throughout the first week of the semester. During the Orientation students are presented with the course syllabus and a tour of the Center. All students must complete an Orientation before they may begin their workouts. Click here for the Orientation schedule.
Once you have completed the Orientation, you will be given a series of fitness assessments that include Blood Pressure, resting heart rate, height and weight, body fat percentage, cardiovascular condition and strength. From here, you will be able to set your fitness goals and get started with your workouts. Fitness Assessment (Pretest) is done during the second week of the semester on the same schedule as Orientation was done during the first week. Click here for the Pretest Schedule.
All students (even those returning from previous semesters) need to must attend an Orientation in the Fitness Center (G227) for 1 1/2 hours during the week of 1/7/08 - 1/12/08 during one of the scheduled Orientation time periods.
Students registering for the Late Start classes (CRN 30203 and 31558) need to attend an Orientation in the Fitness Center (G227) for 1 1/2 hours during the week of 2/11/08 - 2/14/08 during one of the scheduled Orientation time periods. Once you have completed the Orientation and Pretest, you will be able to begin your workouts at your own pace and on your own schedule. That's the beauty of this class!
