This course provides intermediate level instruction in computer basics, Local Area Networks,
the 7-layer OSI (Open System Interconnection) model, signaling and structures cabling; and
design and documentation. It will also cover WANs (Wide Area Networks), Router configuration,
Cisco IOS (Internetwork Operating System) images, TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet
Protocol), IP (Internet Protocol) addressing, and routing protocols. This is the first course
in a series to provide Cisco System Network Associate (CCNA) certificate training.

Cisco System Computer Network 3 and 4
Prerequisite: CNSE M15
Class Hours: 3 lecture & 3 lab
This course provides intermediate level instruction in the OSI (Open System Interconnection)
reference model and routing, LAN (local area network) switching, VLANs (virtual local area networks),
Routing Protocols: IGRP (Interior Gateway Routing Protocol), access control lists (ACLs), and network
management. It will also cover WANs (wide area networks), WANs design, point-to-point protocol (PPP),
integrated services digital network (ISDN), frame relay, and network management. This is the third and
the second course in a series to provide Cisco System Network Associate (CCNA) certificate training.
