To earn an AA degree in Chemistry, a major requires 33 specified units plus General Education Degree Requirements. To obtain an AS degree in Chemistry, a major requires 42 specified units plus General Education Degree Requirements. Chemistry is located in the Physical Science building on the east side of campus. We have four teaching laboratories, several lecture classrooms, and up-to-date laboratory equipment to provide you with required contemporary tools and techniques. Specialized instrumentation for chemical analyses include two gas chromatographs (GC) and Infrared (FTIR) and UV-VIS spectrophotometers in addition to the necessary equipment to conduct all General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry laboratories offered.
