BUS M05 - Fundamentals of Investing

Class Hours: 3 lecture
Introduces investment planning and strategy to those with little or no familiarity with investing. Covers the fundamentals of structuring a portfolio to minimize risk and earn an acceptable rate of return. Explores the basics involved in allocating funds available for investment between stocks, bonds, real estate, mutual funds, money market instruments, commodities, and cash. BUS M08 - Accounting with QuickBooks

Introduces the use of QuickBooks in a computerized accounting system. Reinforces basic accounting concepts and procedures and their relationship to QuickBooks. Provides extensive hands-on experience including setting up a new company. (Same course as CIS M18.) Applies to Associate Degree.
